The Socialist Agenda, The Bogeyman Who is Coming to Get Us All, By Leonard Sowah

As a child I loved to garden and actually still do. One reason why I love gardening is the joy I get from watching plants grow and die. As a lazy gardener though I have learned to appreciate the beauty of perennials. Afterall, what is better than planting a flower once and having it come back to life year after year. My perennials except for losing their deer resistant traits overtime tend to do very well. I am however still wondering if the deer resistant feature was  designed to be lost just so the deer can also enjoy the fruits of my labor or just to make sure I go back to the nursery after I get tired of the deer eating all my plants.

Hostas
Luxurious hosta’s just like mine before the deer started their Dinner Party

I have given up on my hosta’s at the back of my house since the deer is king there but those in front are still doing well. You may be wondering why I keep talking about plants when the title of this post has socialist agenda in it. The purpose of this post is to tell you that in America, there is no socialist agenda.

Healthy societies like live plants have a life of their own, and as such they cycle like my perennials. A society that does not have such a cycle may just be too young and just pretty much all over the place. In any old stable society there comes a time when the pendulum must swing back to allow some reshuffling. Whilst the reshuffling is good for the society as a whole it means that some very successful people run the risk of losing their favored positions.

Well, what would you expect all those super rich people to do, they would make every effort to maintain the status quo. When we get comfortable, we get so scared of change that we would do all we can to hold back that which needs to come out and flower. This is when we call on the Socialist Bogeyman who is going to turn us all into miserable communists. So far what has this Socialist Bogeymen achieved? If you pay close attention to our stock market you would realise that the all terrible Socialist Bogeyman has been a total failure.

Stock Chart for Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffet’s Company with a Market Capitalization of $499.4 Billion

The US Stock Market has companies like Microsoft, Apple, Amazon, Facebook and Berkshire Hathaway all with market capitalizations beyond $500 Billion. All these companies are healthy businesses and are doing extremely well, in spite of the Socialist Bogeyman.

Anyone who invests in the stock market knows about a market correction and while everyone hates it we all understand its value, stability. Healthy societies also must periodically undergo a correction, and just like a stock market correction they are painful, not in a physical way but psychologically.  In like manner societal economic cycles of correction also help us achieve stability.

So my good friends when you hear some politicians telling you they are afraid of another’s socialist agenda don’t get scared. They are just opening the closet to let out their Socialist Bogeyman friend to make all of us little guys scared to our bones. In reality most of us do not need to fear this Socialist Bogeyman because when the big guys are afraid it means the little guys gets a break.

Just remember one thing though; that the Socialist Bogeyman does not give you a vacation, all you get is a break. The Cycle would continue and and the Big Guys would start laughing again. Just make sure you don’t join them when they are scared because then you don’t get to laugh.  Learn to laugh when you can, because life is short.
