A part of the New Testament, John 8:7 actually suggests …..“He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone at her.”… This was after an adulterer was accused and brought to Jesus.
In 1 Cor 4:5. Luke 6:37, Matthew 7:1 and James 4:11, Romans 2:1, 14:10, 14:13 Christians are advised and instructed NOT TO JUDGE others for it is God who Judges us all.
Where am I going with this? WELL…..
I am not Gay and I will never be. I know quite some great men who are and they have never offended me in any way. It is not my place to decide on whether or not anyone will burn in Hell. I don’t even know if Hell exists. God knows our end from our beginning, right? He then created Heaven and Hell, knowing our end? Really? The same ALL FORGIVING GOD?
I live in a glass house. I don’t throw stones.
I have listened to priests, politicians and social commentators say they are against the legalization of Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual and Transgender (LGBT) rights in Ghana and what they wish for people who are promoting the passing of such rights.
I feel quite sad that most of those actually wishing ill of anyone who will promote the legalization of such behaviour and those who practice such behaviour, are actually Christians.
The bible actually says something totally different about “JUDGEMENT”. They are actually pronouncing judgement, already.
I see hypocrisy abounds, especially in the Church and, among Christians. Am I judging then? Nope! I am only expressing an opinion and not condemning anyone. Hypocrisy is a human thing, I guess.
This takes me back to what Emmanuel Woolley has always asked….”How do you know what you know?”
I know I will be “judged” by the same “Christians” I think I belong to but well, I leave my own and personal judgement to God who is the final Judge of all. Those who will judge me must be aware that they will be judged in equal measure too. It is said in the bible.
Remember, there is no sin greater than the other. You Cheat, Lie, Steal, Fornicate, Masturbate, Say evil of others, take your neighbour’s wife/husband, Steal your colleague’s ideas, do not treat others as yourself regardless of race, colour or creed…. YOU HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD for which reason the ever forgiving God will FORGIVE YOU when you ask for His forgiveness, through His son Jesus Christ. Isn’t that what the Bible says? ‘So which one is your own how someone else decides to relate to another’?
I can only say that we will all know, if there is indeed Judgement after life, who was right and wrong and who will live an everlasting life. Until then…… I will cry my own cry and leave others to carry their CROSSES!
PEACE!
